Surprise leeks pie
Ingredients
- 1 large onion
- 1 1/2 package of 250 g (6 cups) of Les Cultures de chez nous sliced leeks
- 200 ml (0,8 cup) of white cheese
- 2 eggs
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) of breadcrumbs
- 1 shortcrust
- 45 ml (3 tablespoons) of olive oil
- Pepper and salt (nutmeg)
- Slice onion into thin strips. In a pan, melt at low heat with olive oil. Meanwhile, add sliced leeks to the melted onion. pepper, salt and simmer covered for about 20 to 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven at 400°F (200°C). Whisk eggs in a bowl. Add white cheese and breadcrumbs. Mix the preparation. Unroll shortcrust in a pie pan. Prick the bottom of the crust with a fork.
- Spread sliced leeks and onions at the bottom of the crust.
- Afterward, pour the white cheese preparation over the pie (you may also sprinkle few parmesan cheese over the pie).
- Oven bake 15 minutes until the pie browns.
- Cool down a bit before unmolding.
