Lasagna with cheese and meat
Ingredients
- 375 g (3/4 pound) of extra lean ground beef
- 3 garlic cloves, finely minced
- 7.5 ml (1 1/2 teaspoon) of dried oregano
- 1 package of 250 g (4 cups) of Les Cultures de chez nous sliced leeks
- 1 can of 750 ml (3 cups) of pasta sauce
- 1 big tomato, diced
- 4 fresh lasagna pasta
- 1 container of 500 ml (2 cups) of cottage cheese
- 500 ml (2 cups) of mozzarella cheese, grated
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a pot, brown the meat with leeks, garlic, and oregano. Pour the pasta sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes, occasionally stirring. Remove the pot from heat and add the tomato.
- In an oven-proof dish of 23 cm x 33 cm (9 inches x 13 inches), spread 125 ml (1/2 cup) of pasta sauce. Top with 1 lasagna pasta, 250 ml (1 cup) of cottage cheese, 125 ml (1/2 cup) of mozzarella cheese, and 250 ml (1 cup) of pasta sauce. Repeat these steps for each layer. Cover with aluminum foil.
