Haddock fillets with ginger and green onions
Ingredients
For the haddock fillets:
-
45 ml (3 tablespoons) of reduced-sodium soy sauce
-
15 ml (1 tablespoon) of water
-
45 ml (3 tablespoons) of rice vinegar
-
15 ml (1 tablespoon) of honey
-
15 ml (1 tablespoon) of sesame oil, unroasted
-
4 haddock fillets of 150 g (1/3 pound) each
-
4 green onions into julienne or 1/4 package of 250 g (1 cup) of Les Cultures de chez nous sliced leeks
-
Finely chopped ginger
For the sesame broccoli:
-
500 ml (2 cups) broccoli florets
-
10 ml (2 teasponns) of sesame oil, unroasted
-
15 ml to 30 ml (1 to 2 tablespoons) of water
-
15 ml (1 tablespoon) of sesame seeds
For the haddock fillets:
-
In a skillet, bring the soy sauce, water, rice vinegar, honey and sesame oil to a boil over medium heat.
-
Place the haddock fillets in the pan. Divide the sliced green onions or leeks and ginger over the fillets. Season with pepper. Cover and cook for 10 to 12 minutes over low‑medium heat.
For the sesame broccoli:
-
In a pan over medium heat, fry the broccoli florets in unroasted sesame oil. Cook for about 7 minutes, or until tender.
-
Add water to the pan to generate steam to speed up cooking, if desired. Add sesame seeds, mix well, and serve immediately.
