Bread pudding on the grill with fruits
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 250 ml (1 cup) of 1% milk
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) of sugar
- 1,25 ml (1/4 teaspoon) of cinnamon
- 250 ml (1 cup) of frozen or fresh small fruits
- 1 L (4 cups) of diced stale bread
- 5 ml (1 teaspoon) of melted butter
- In a large bowl, mix eggs, milk, sugar, and cinnamon. Add fruits and diced bread. Cool for 30 minutes while the bread absorbs some of the liquid.
- When cooking, preheat the barbecue at medium heat by lighting only one burner for undirected cooking.
- Butter a 20 cm (8 inches) square aluminium mold. Pour the preparation inside the mold. Cover with a sheet of aluminium paper and seal hermetically.
- Set the mold over the side of the barbecue grill that is turned off. Cook for 30 minutes.
- For a well-roasted crust, finish the baking under the oven grill. Set the grill at the upper part of the oven and turn the oven to "broil". Remove the aluminium paper sheet and roast for 3 to 5 minutes. Cool down before serving.
