Ingredients
  • 1 square (1/2 package of 450 g) of puff pastry, pre-rolled and frozen, thawed
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) of old-style mustard
  • 8 to 12 asparagus tips
  • 180 ml (3/4 cup) of chopped ham
  • 125 ml (3/4 cup) of grated gruyère cheese
  • Black pepper
Preparation

  • Unroll the puff pastry with the parchment paper in the package and set everything over the cooking plate. Spread mustard over the pastry, leaving a space of 1/2 po (1 cm) on each side.
  • If needed, peel the base of each asparagus and slice into pieces of 1 po (2.5 cm) each. Spread ham over the crust and garnish with asparagus, then with grated cheese. Pepper to your taste. Spread the sides with oil or whisked egg yolk, if desired.
  • Oven bake in a pre-heated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 15 to 18 minutes or until the crust puffs and browns.
