Texas-style beef hamburger
Ingredients
- 750 g (1 1/2 pound) of chopped beef
- 1/2 package of 250 g (2 cups) of Les Cultures de chez nous sliced leeks
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) of fresh finely chopped parsley
- 4 finely chopped garlic cloves
- 1/2 finely chopped red pepper
- 1 finely chopped jalapeno pepper
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) of finely chopped coriander leaf
- 4 finely chopped French shallots
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) of chili sauce
- 1 lightly whisked egg
- 15 ml (1 tablespoon) of Worcestershire sauce
- Few tabasco rops up to tste
- 5 ml (1 teaspoon) of Cayenne pepper
- 45 ml (3 tablespoons) of soy or tamari sauce
- Ground salt and pepper up to taste
- 6 to 8 hamburger or sesame seeds kaiser breads
- Preheat barbecue at medium heat.
- In a large bowl, mix and knead all ingredients exept hamburger breads. Divide and make with the mixture 6 to 8 meatballs.
- On the lightly oiled barbecue grill, bake meatballs for 6 to 8 minutes each side or until meat is well cooked. Roast hamburger breads. Serve meatballs over grilled breads.
