Leeks compote canapés
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of butter
- 1 package of 250 g (4 cups) of Les Cultures de chez nous sliced leeks
- 1 cup (250 ml) of cooking cream
- 150 g (1/3 pound) of Cantonnier or Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper
- 12 thin baguette bread slices, buttered
- Brown sliced leeks in butter for about 5 minutes. Add cooking cream and Cantonnier cheese to sliced leeks.
- Simmer at low heat for 15 to 20 minutes. Salt and pepper up to taste.
- Meanwhile, broil bread slices in the oven over a baking sheet. Spread leeks preparation over toasted bread slices.
