Cheddar and leeks Rösti
Ingredients
- 4 peeled and grated potatoes
- 1/3 package of 250 g (1 1/2 cup) of Les Cultures de chez nous sliced leeks
- 100 g (3 1/2 oz) of grated 2 years old aged cheddar
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) of flour
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) of butter
- Ground salt and pepper, up to your taste
- Preheat oven at 325°F (160°C).
- In a bowl, mix potatoes, leeks, cheddar and flour.
- With your hands, form few nest of about 10 cm (4 inches) of diameter and 2 cm (¾ inch) thick.
- In an heated pan, at low heat, brown rösti into butter 5 minutes over each sides, until well roasted.
- Set röstis on a cookie sheet covered with aluminium paper and bake at the center of the oven for 6 to 8 minutes. Serve.
