Ingredients
  • 8 leek white of 10 cm (4 inches)
  • 8 slices of cooked ham
  • 250 ml (1 cup) of béchamel sauce of your choice
  • 7.5 ml (1 1/2 teaspoon) of Dijon's mustard
  • 225 g (1/2 lb) of gruyere of cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper
Preparation

  • Cook leeks with salted boiling water or chicken broth for 15 minutes, then drain. Roll each leek’s white with a slice of cooked ham.
  • Set in a gratin plate. Prepare béchamel sauce, add Dijon mustard, and season to taste.
  • Coat leeks with sauce.
  • Spread cheese over leeks.
  • Oven bake to 350°F (180°C) for 30 minutes.
