Leek and bacon quiche
Ingredients
- 1 package of 250 g (4 cups) of Les Cultures de chez nous sliced leeks
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) of butter
- 6 crispy and cooked bacon slices. chopped
- 4 large eggs
- 250 ml (1 cup) of cooking cream
- 250 ml (1 cup) of grated Emmenthal cheese
- A pinch of nutmeg
- 1 pre-cooked quiche pastry
- Salt and pepper, freshly ground
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190 °C).
- Heat butter in a pan at medium heat. Add leeks, season and cook for 12 minutes or until they melt. Remove leeks from the pan, drain well and cool down a bit.
- Spread leeks within the quiche pastry. Sprinkle with bacon and season well.
- Mix eggs with cream. Season. Pour over leeks and cover with cheese. Sprinkle nutmeg and oven-bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Garnish with crumbled bacon before serving, if desired.
