Chicken and leek skewers
Ingredients

300 g (2/3 pound) of chicken, diced

2 leeks sliced into rings of 1 cm (1/2 inch)
For the marinade:

5 ml (1 teaspoon) of sugar

5 ml (1 teaspoon) of soy sauce

5 ml (1 teaspoon) of sesame oil
For the sauce:
-
30 ml (2 tablespoons) of soy sauce
-
15 ml (1 tablespoon) of sugar
-
5 ml (1 teaspoon) of garlic, chopped

15 ml (1 tablespoon) of sesame seeds
-
20 ml (4 teaspoons) of sesame oil

Pepper, up to taste

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Combine marinade ingredients and marinate chicken in marinade for 15 minutes.

Combine sauce ingredients in a bowl.

Skewer chicken, alternating with leek slices. Dip skewers in sauce and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, basting with sauce occasionally or until chicken loses its pinkish colour.
